.I'm concerned with the weaknesses but hopefully I'm not fully understanding the strengths.

Noncreature

4x Sylvok Lifestaff- equip to anything that sacrifices for 3 health per sacrifice.
3x Disturbed Burial- pair it with sacrifice creatures = card advantage
2x Necrogen Spellbomb- cycles/uncounterable discard
.I expect to see a lot of work out of Sylvok Lifestaff.

Sideboard:

3x Consume Spirit- damage/life gain X spell
2x Duress- great way to see opponent's hand and 1:1 discard for artifact, enchantment, instant, and sorcery
2x Typhoid Rats- really exactly what I want for turn 1 against Stompy and can trade vs 4/4 out of Affinity
