COMMENTS
Normally when you lose R1, which sucks, at least then you get to play the decks that are less competitive, and more focused on the casual experimental side of trying out newer tribes, or decks intended to win the dark horse / underdog / NKOTB prizes, so it becomes easier to cash out overall. But can you imagine losing R1, but still having to play the rest of the entire tournament playing those same undefeated competitive decks anyway? Look, while it sucks to get paired up, I know it happens occasionally. But what are the odds to get paired up TWICE in a row, in the same 3-round swiss tournament? First time I've ever seen it happen to anyone, and of course it was to me. This has to be a rare occurrence.

To be clear, I won both of the pair-ups. So, no, don't believe the pathological lies against me that it's just resentment over losing, since I, actually, didn't lose. (It's a good way to negate a person's logical points isn't it? Change the subject with untrue accusations). I just point out things that happen that I think are highly unusual or unfair.

So, lately, aside from these weird and unfortunate pairings, I'll add that to the most recent list of: encountering a game-losing bug that cost me the match, not finding any cascade cards in almost the top half of the deck, 2 Chainwhirlers overpowering 12 counter-cards, being mana screwed twice in a row with 25 lands, being mana screwed three times in a row in an aggro deck with 22 lands (the undefeated hat-trick match, which culminated in the top 22 cards having two lands in game 3), an opponent having a 4-of of his best card in the top 15 cards, and I'm sure even more wacky occurrences that are too many to remember. On one hand, forgetting means that I've been so accustomed to bad anomalies that it is an indicator of the sort of strife I must endure in this game, but on the other hand, I am sure forgetting traumatic experiences is better for my health in the long-run. Who the hell wants to feel the universe kick himself in the nuts, over and over?

If you were curious about the probabilities, lest you think I am just complaining for the sake of complaining, each above event occurs at a probability less than 1%, with my favorite being the two lands in top 22 cards of game 3 which happens once every 3,333 games (or 3 times in 10,000 games). Numbers don't lie. I'm one very unlucky person (except for one topdeck in one game).

Now I see why this tournament is called the apocalypse.
