COMMENTS
Classic extended Miracle Grow rebuilt for a contemporary Penny Dreadful.
The core of the deck is extremely efficient threats at 1 and 2 mana that gain enough value alone to compete on board with even the most consistent beatdown creature deck. The core of 12 cantrips smoothes draws and allows a lean mana base with decent interaction from the counterspells and Vapor Snags.
Of note is the criminally underrated Set Adrift. The card advantage of Treasure Cruise is replaceable in a dozen other cards, but the mono blue effect of removing any nonland permanent and effectively skipping a draw step is very unique. The synergy between it and Thought Scour is what pushes it even further. Scour both mills yourself to facilitate Delve, but can also mill the card put back. Lastly, Thought Scour is the extra card filitering that allows you to mill bad cards off of Ponder and Sylvan Library, giving you consistency you would not expect.
Sideboard is hard tec'd against aggro as it is our worst matchup. Augur of Bolas is a clean blocker and a 2 for 1 advantage spell that helps grab Tangle which allows us to race with Quirion Dryad and Delver of Secrets.
