COMMENTS
Goals tonight:
1. Hit a Crusher or some Eldrazi dude with Appetite for Brains.
2. Have fun.

I don't find losing to Red Burn, so I packed some main deck hate tonight.

Any monkey can win some games with a proven deck. After several years of doing that, I play for other fun.

Rnd 1 vs MBC.
In the hands of a serious player, no less.
From playing Modern Pauper, I mistakenly did not realize Corrupt was allowed. Therefore, I didn't expect the usualy old MBC style deck. Therefore, it handled me pretty well. I struggled for luck a bit in G3, but that just makes up for my good luck in G2.
At least I hit a Corrupt with Appetite for Brains :)

Rnd 2 vs Infect. (mono green?)
G1 I kept a slow hand, not knowing what I was facing. HAd no action and Infect whooped me on turn 4.
G2, I held up Infect with some blinking Rats and removal, but just couldn't dig in for the win. I drew three Missionaries when so many other cards would have been preferable. Infect showed some resiliance, finding a way to win after an empty hand.

Rnd 3 vs a Megrim deck.
A Megrim deck!
A Megrim deck!
What is this, 1996?
I love it.
The Megrim deck did not perform so well, but how awesome of someone to try it again. Variety makes Magic great, and seeing fun stuff like this Megrim deck helps me get over the boredom of the same old powerful decks that the serious players bring.
Suspecting he had no creatures, I Sided out my removal for Guardians and Brains. I enjoyed hitting his burn Miracle with Brain :)
Goal!

Rnd 4 vs Kithkin
G1, slow start for me. Later, he counters my removal with Brave the Elements and I lose.
G2, better start for me. Later, he counters my removal with Brace the Elements and I lose.
