COMMENTS |
Low lands = consistent control
Stabilize the first few turns and then out topdeck your opponent with counter magic. You choose what they resolve so even the most efficient midrange decks cannot break out of the iron clad grasp of this deck's counterspells. Eventually get 4/6 mana, a Harbinger, and a Clique to win with the matryoshka combo. Named after the Russian nesting dolls it is tutor based combo that taps your opponent out of mana for 3 turns in a row allowing you to swing for 2+4+6+8=20 damage exactly. Brineborn exists as a psuedo removal spell, an extra wincon against removal heavy decks, and a big blocker. Apprentice is a chump blocker who roleplays as a Serum Visions with legs. A hand with 2 lands and 5 counterspells is a keeper. By the time your opponent can double spell you will have gotten more lands. Their measly 1 drop is not a real threat so ignore it. Play this deck with patience as you beat almost every deck late game. And never, EVER, tap out of mana if you can help it. |
