COMMENTS |
This season izzet control is the best it has ever been. It had a perfect blend of removal combined with amazing card draw. Combine that with a solid combo and you have a great first game. However the combo is fragile and unnecessary, side it out every match. A whale is all you need.
The Threats: --Weenies: Very fast and Brave the Elements proves to be a huge roadblock. Side in so many board wipes that one will get through. You will always lose to a Champion on the play, don't sweat it. --Ooze: Secret best deck due to having no good sideboard options to beat it. Scavenger Grounds is our best bet. Good luck eeking out the first game. --Control: Our plan is to remove every dead card and replace it with nothing but stall and draw. Blank your opponent's sideboard and grind out a slow and painful torture. Niv sits upon his lordly throne. --Aggroslide: Horrible matchup and every one of these players has a different style. Some keep playing creatures, others just cycle to their two major threats. No matter what you will have a bad time. Get a quick Aria of Flame and close the game out. |
